FAQ
Do I need an expensive camera?
No. This online photography course is about reading and shaping light, which works the same whether you shoot on a professional body or a phone.
I'm a beginner photographer.
Is this too advanced for me?
No. We start from how light behaves and build from there, so nothing assumes prior training. And you won't be behind: most photographers, including working professionals, skip this entirely because they're busy learning equipment. Light is the part they never go back to.
I already work professionally.
Will this be too basic?
The technical parts may be familiar. What usually isn't: the six notes of light, working with geometry and perception deliberately, and the business side most photographers never learn.
When does it start and how long does it take?
The course opens 17 September. Fifteen lessons, one per week, with a practical task each week.
What if I fall behind?
Nothing disappears. You have a full year of access.
What's the difference between the tiers?
The 15 lessons are recorded in every tier, so you watch when it suits you. Autonomy is the full course on your own. Enriched adds the private group chat, the FOF-Filter and a personal review of your portfolio. Private Edition is different in kind: we start with an audit of where you actually are, I tell you honestly what your strengths and weaknesses are, and we build a plan around them. Then we work through it together, one to one.
Can I upgrade later?
Yes. From Autonomy to Enriched, write to me and you pay the difference between what you paid and the price of that tier at the time. Private Edition is separate. Because it's one-to-one work, there's a short application first, and the price depends on what we agree to do together.
WHO'S TEACHING YOU
I've shot covers and editorials for Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, L'Officiel, Numéro, Elle and Vanity Fair, and campaigns for fashion and jewellery brands.
And for most of those years, photographers asked me the same question. Which camera. Which lens.
I shot with an ordinary camera and a basic lens for years while magazines were booking me for results. So I knew the question was wrong, and I could see what it was costing people. Good photographers, technically solid, stuck buying equipment and wondering why the pictures still weren't there.
What actually changed my work was light. I had a feel for it early, then studied academic drawing and composition at Belarusian State University. That's what I brought into photography, and it's the part nobody teaches.
The other part nobody teaches is the business. I studied fashion business at Istituto Marangoni and worked inside the Gucci Group, which is where I learned that a beautiful image is worth nothing if it doesn't move the business behind it. Yours included.
